Purpose
Robot Companion's purpose is to practically implement robot design for the real world
with all of its imperfections. With robots as the nexus of our activities that will make an impact on the framework
of our lives in the 21st century. We approach our work on the basis that our society as humans will be producing robots.
From this perspective, we are designing artificial machines that can make judgements on their own and respond to situations.
When a robot comes in contact with a person, it interacts with that person based on its own system and offers new alternatives
from the interaction. In addition, it grasps experience as information and learns from it following the extent of the actions.
This makes robots completely different from industrial machines in that when you come in contact, its like interacting with a third person
having a purpose. This point is important as it fosters a smooth and natural contact for the person. People are meeting a self-directed being.
As to the aspect of the "21st century industry", we know that robots will develop into an industry just like the automobile or computer.
Our energies into Robot Companion will value human sensitives and respect our humanity.
